Day 29 - Self, Self, Self
Day 28 - Icicle Tree
This one isn't so great, it's just a icicle on a tree. I didn't have a better idea.
Day 27 (Bonus) - Self Portraits
For some reason every time I see this picture I start singing Bohemian Rhapsody.
Shot with a snooted SB-600 test firing in my hand.
Day 27 - Self Portraits
For some reason every time I see this picture I start singing Bohemian Rhapsody. I kinda like the back lighting on this one.
Shot with a snooted SB-600 test firing in my hand.

Day 26 - spiderweb
I saw this cool spiderweb in a shadowy place in my house. A bit of setting sun was illuminating it when I got home. I planned on doing an HDR shot, but they didn't turn out.
Day 25 - Ice
I got in the car and shot the ice from the inside., Since I didn't want to shoot outside today.
Day 24 - Faces
Sometimes your camera can capture the supernatural.
You have to look really close, but there are two...

Day 20 - Son
I really want to get lighting people with glasses down without any reflections. He's proudly showing his snow accident. Lighting info - SB-800 directly on his right side 1/16th power. Reflector held up just out of frame on the left. Another SB-800 snooted with a grid shooting on the background 1/1 power.
Day 19 - The Thinker
Rodin has his, I have mine.
(Just a word of advice, it's a PITA trying to hold a flash and adjust manual focus)
Day 17 - 5.56 anyone?
I got a box of 5.56 and I liked how they were. I think I'll revisit this one and check for sharpness (oops)
If you don't know what 5.56 is... well it's another fun thing to shoot.
Day 16 - Time out, in the corner
Who doens't have a shot of a kid in the corner ? I didn't and I just so happened to have a kid in the corner...
Day 15 - Glowing Mix
Another "oh crap day" This was lit by the orange charging light of my phone. I loved the color (and another Happy Accident).
Day 14 - Draging the Shutter
Playing a little with shutter drag. SB-600 on camera right firing right to the window, flagged to remove glare (some on the picture still). Another SB-600 camera left to add some light to the shadow.
Please note the cool red-ish sky outside.
Day 13 (Bonus) - Girl and Dog in the Fog
Just walking around on a foggy day capturing what I saw. I really like this one. She was just walking her dog, I let her pass and waited until she was under the street light.
Day 12 - Daughter
I wanted to get a graininy half lit shot, I think this one works.
I saw something similar here?
Day 11 (Bonus) - Product shot #2
Same lighting setup and the other product shot, just adjusted for round cilinder things.
These are Air Scents that you get a Bath and Body works... I think.
Day 11 - Product shot
Trying a product shot of leftovers from Canada. I got a kick out of shooting smarties that were rockets and M&M's that are smarties.
I like play on words, I'll have to keep that in mind this year as I tackle this project.
Day 10 - Cap
I read somewhere where a student was told to lock themselves in the bathrom and not come out until they took a roll of exposures. I almost did the same thing. More close-up filters, manual focus and little DOF to blow everything else out.
It really is just a toothpaste cap.
Day 9 - Curves
It just may be what you think it is... or is it.
This is an experiment in the world of abstract.
Day 7 - Missed it!
On the drive home the mountains in Boise were glowing this beautiful mixture of pink and orange. It was gone before I got home and this is what was left.
Day 6 - Cold and Stormy Night
This was an "oh, crap I need to take a picture today". No post processing. half way through the exposure I started tilting the camera which gave it the "wispy" look
Day 5 - Extreme Close Up.
Shot with some close-up filters on the lens. This is actually a close-up of my curtains.
Day 4 - Room Lights
I noticed this during "snuggle time" with my daughter. I liked the way it looked and I wanted to capture it before I took the lights down.
Day 2 - Buns!
Buns, Buns!
This is a shot of my niece. The flash fired twice as she was dancing and I liked it. (Happy Accident)
Day 1 (Bonus) - Where am I?
Beautiful girl, party dress, New Years day, hotel, no clue where she was... Hmmm, I'm thinking someone had fun.
Day 1 - Oh Canada
I spent the week of New Years in Canada. I've never been there, had the week off, so what the heck. This was taken from the hotel room. Harbor Towers
Welcome
I do plan on taking a picture every day, but I don't know if I will be able to post every day. I guess we'll see how that goes.
One word of warning - on the days I forget right before midnight or I don't feel inspired you'll just get a snapshot. Sorry, that's
how it is. I can't say that I have 365 ideas for pictures already, so I don't know what I'm going to do.
As you can clearly see it's now day 20 and I'm just getting around to uploading all my pictures. I currently have 407 shots to go through from 20 days.
Yippie Kayay!
